PARTS ASSISTANT
Summary
The role is based within our building at First Tower, St. Helier. Serving our extensive customer base and eleven motorcycle manufacturers, the role is critical to maintaining a professional retail environment and a successful workshop. Occasional driving / riding to visit clients or suppliers may be required.
This is a full time position working a 40-hour week. Salary and benefits commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
Daily office functions:
Liaising with clients and suppliers via. email / telephone, taking and placing orders.
Working in conjunction with our workshop manager, managing parts, fluids and tyres used in the workshop.
Inputting parts onto relevant computer systems to build orders.
Receiving orders in and putting items into stock.
Maintenance of stock levels and replenishing anything of low stock.
Maintenance of stores ensuring they are clean, tidy, and organised efficiently.
Work with Technicians and Workshop Manager to enable comprehensive insurance estimates and thereafter ordering the parts required to complete warranty claims professionally.
Be responsible for all parts deliveries, maintaining a constant update for customers and internal stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications
A flexible approach to work and ability to be part of a close-knit team with a can-do attitude.
Good understanding of customer service is required, including managing expectations, maintaining data quality, and prioritising to meet deadlines.
Numeric accuracy and attention to detail is paramount.
Computer literacy with preferably some experience of parts / component software - training will be provided in relation to key knowledge areas and computer systems.
A good telephone manner.
